Claude VonStroke Double Dips in Chicago, Detroit, and San Francisco in February 2019
Announces Special Two-Date Shows Winter 2019
Today, Claude VonStroke announces a new tour concept - the Double Dip Tour, which sees the Dirtybird bossman return to three of his favorite cities for a unique series of shows - Chicago, Detroit, and San Francisco.
No two shows will be the same or follow any set guidelines, rather over across each pairing, Claude VonStroke will demonstrate the versatility and eclecticism that makes him one of dance music’s most unstoppable forces. Exploring the full spectrum of house, techno, bass music, and more, the intimate crowd will be taken under the head bird’s wing for a dancefloor education you can’t get anywhere else.
The first two shows will kick off in Chicago (Feb 1st & 2nd), where Claude VonStroke will perform for the last two nights at the iconic club The Mid before it closes its doors for good. The following weekend, CVS will touch down in his home-city of Detroit (Feb 8th & 9th), where he first cut his teeth on the decks before becoming North America’s Best DJ. The tour will end with a bang in the birthplace of Dirtybird - San Francisco (Feb 21st & 22nd), playing for an exclusive crowd of 400 of the most dedicated Dirtybird fans at Halcyon.
With all venues having a capacity of less than 1,000, the Double Dip tour will provide a uniquely intimate atmosphere, where Claude has promised to deliver sets chock full of new unreleased tracks and edits for the ears of the select few who will be fortunate enough to snatch up tickets.
Accompanying the tour will be very limited edition T-Shirts and Crew Necks designed by Dirtybird and Claude VonStroke’s featured 2019 artist Charlie Immer. Immer will be designing all of VonStroke’s art work in 2019. VonStroke and Dirtybird have a long tradition of working with resident artists, notably from the low-brow surrealist movement, including Dan May, Dulk, Graham Carter, Raoul Deleo, and more.
2018 was a banner year for Claude VonStroke, earning himself the title of North America’s best DJ, debuting a brand new festival concept, The Birdhouse Festival in Chicago, gracing the cover of Mixmag’s December issue, and so much more. The Double Dip tour will mark the beginning of what will surely be an equally massive 2019.
